Recently re-elected Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate keeps to the promise he made to his wife and bought a new small family home.

“It’s going to be a family home and I recall when I married Ruth, 35 years ago, I said, ‘Ruth, one day I want us to have a small house,’ so I’ve bought a small house – fairly small that is,” he said. The home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms with a 1970’s era type feel. Cr Tate mentioned it reminds him of the home they recently resided in, the Islander penthouse.

“I was just saying to Ruth, it’s reflective of when we lived in the penthouse at the Islander and we bought all our furniture to fit that property, so it will fit nicely in the new house,” Cr Tate said.

Cr Tate then came to the International Interiors team to assist in furnishing and fitting out the rest of the Sorrento home. The new furnishings will accent the exquisite wooden interior and excellent entertaining exterior.
